Join the first annual Nordic Assembly for public meals.
Nordic Plate, a cross-Nordic collaboration under the Nordic Council of Ministers, invites practitioners and theorists to an assembly about public meals. This year's theme is public meals for children and young people.
At the Nordic Assembly 2018 we will share experiences and best practices across organizations, professions and national borders to elevate the quality of public meals for children and young people and increase the awareness of New Nordic Food. The program focuses on practical solutions and on bringing theory and practice closer together.
The assembly has an interdisciplinary approach and welcomes a variety of guests with a common interest in public food and meals for children and youths:

09.00 - 09.30: Registration, coffee and a snack
09.30 - 09.40: Welcome and introduction
09.40 - 12.00: Marketplace - stations displaying Nordic best pratices and short presentations on the stage
12.00 - 13.00: Lunch - selected disches from the cook book 'Copenhagen school meals'
13.00 - 14.00: Presentations
14.00 - 14.15: Break
14.15 - 15.15: Workshops with 4 different perspectives
15.15 - 15.30: Closing ceremony
15.30 - 16.00: Networking and a snack
A ticket to the Nordic Assembly gives you the opportunity to join the pre-assembly site visits to Copenhagen pre-schools and schools on august 30th.

11.30 - 12.00: Transportation to the school garden at Lersøpark allé

The Nordic Assembly 2018 is funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers and executed by various partners in the Nordic Plate Network led by The Copenhagen House of Food. The assembly is held as part of Copenhagen Cooking and Food Festival.
Nordic Plate is a network of Nordic organizations, politicians and practitioners aiming to promote Nordic welfare with public meals as an engine for change. The network strives to promote good, nourishing and sustainable meals and solutions in the Nordic public kitchens building on the Nordic Kitchen manifesto.
